Circa 1890. This lovely Victorian Scottish snail brooch features a shell fashioned from agate, bezel-set in silver. Queen Victoria visited Scotland in her later years and fell in love with the country and the jewelry, which sparked its popularity at the end of the 19th Century. The brooch can also be worn as a pendant.
